Hi, Meg Carroll here from the Georgetown South Community Council Foundation. It’s that time of year for my annual holiday ASK for the kids and the parents of Georgetown South. The calendar year has changed but for many circumstances have not. We are still a low-income HOA community of very hard-working immigrants and as the non-profit arm of the HOA, we try to help our residents. As always, we asked that the parents who registered their children give us their time to also attend two informative meetings beneficial to them and the community. I want you to know that our parents who registered did so, not because they can’t provide, but because it means taking money from rent, mortgage, food and other necessities. I really just want these kids to get their wishes for Christmas. I know many of us have the ability to give and just need the outlet. We are providing you that outlet. I count on your kindness and generosity every year and so I am asking AGAIN for your help. This is a personalized way of giving back to a community that is in need and one that we hope will flourish here in the City of Manassas giving back as they are able and becoming a part of the diverse fabric that is our city. Please know that even though it’s a behind the scenes gift and not directly from you to the child that these kids really appreciate it, but their parents do even more. I promise you that.

4. Buy toys or kids’ clothing and drop off with us Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:30 at 9444 Taney Rd,

Manassas. We will match it to the right child always. Starting late November, we will have a

huge drop box in front of the community center for after-hour deliveries.
